Parking Information

There is no long-term customer parking at Casco Bay Lines terminal. There are 5-minute spaces alongside the terminal building for loading and unloading only. Parking in any other location is prohibited.

Be sure to arrive early enough to find parking before your boat departure time.

The closest public parking is in the Municipal Parking Garage adjacent to Casco Bay Lines terminal, this garage is owned and operated by MHR Management, LLC. This garage often reaches capacity during the summer season, for more options, pick up a parking map at the ticket window when you arrive at our terminal, or download and print the parking map below.

Public Transportation Information

METRO provides daily bus service throughout the Greater Portland Region.

  • METRO Route #8 (click to download schedulewith direct service to Casco Bay Lines Ferry Terminal and Commercial Street.
    • Route #8 (Outbound) leaves Casco Bay Ferry Terminal and travels to Marginal Way and Hannaford Supermarket with stops along India Street and Cumberland Avenue.
    • Route #8 (Inbound) travels to the historic West End of Portland, Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital before heading back to Congress Street and the Arts District via Danforth, State and High Streets returning to Casco Bay Lines Ferry Terminal, via the Old Port.
  • Connect to other METRO Routes at the METRO Pulse at Elm Street, downtown transit hub located across from the Portland Library, one block from Cumberland (nearest bus stop for Route #8) and Congress Street.
  • METRO Pulse Connections: #2 (Forest Avenue) , #4 (USM/Westbrook) , #5 (Maine Mall, Portland Jetport) and #7 (Falmouth)
    Connections along Congress Street: Route #1 (Munjoy Hill/PTC – Amtrak/Concord Coach) & Route #9 (North Deering).

Driving Directions

From Points South

  • Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 44
  • Take I-295 to Exit 7 (Franklin Street)
  • Follow Franklin Street to the end and go straight across the intersection

  • After crossing Veterans’ Bridge, turn right at the light onto Commercial Street (Route 1A North)
  • Turn right at the third traffic light (corner of Franklin Street)

From Points North

From Bangor and Augusta:

  • Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) South to Exit 103
  • Take I-295 to Exit 7 (Franklin Street)
