If you’re like us, you’re looking back on the last six weeks and wondering where your summer went. Now the kids are back to school, we’ve switched to our fall schedule, and all of the prizes for the #CruiseCascoBay photo contest have been handed out.
In case you missed all the contest hype, at the beginning of August we decided we wanted to launch a 6-week celebration of the Casco Bay islands. Since then, we’ve learned a little more about all of our island communities, and you’ve sent in hundreds of photos of the islands, our ferries, and your adventures either though our Facebook page or by using #CruiseCascoBay.
We know summers are busy and we were truly humbled by the hundreds upon hundreds of submissions we received. It was so much fun living vicariously through all of you – swimming, lobstering, hanging with pups, it all looked like so much fun!
Each Friday throughout the contest, a winner was randomly selected to win a Casco Bay-themed prize pack from our amazing partners. All of the winners received: four cruise tickets for a Casco Bay Lines cruise, a Mailboat wristlet from Sea Bags, a Recycled Sailcloth Minimalist wallet from Flowfold, a $20 gift certificate to Andy’s Old Port Pub, a subscription to Old Port Magazine, Maine Magazine, and Maine Home & Design Magazine, one voucher for a ride on the Amtrak Downeaster, two passes to Maine Maritime Museum, a t-shirt from Cook’s Lobster & Ale House, a water bottle from Portland Harbor Hotel, and some goodies from Shipyard Brewing Company.

What are we going to do with all of these #CruiseCascoBay photos, you ask? Share them, of course! Keep an eye out on our Facebook page where we’ll periodically share photos from the contest – especially in the middle of winter when the snow is flying!
In the meantime, there’s still plenty of time to cruise Casco Bay before old man winter moves in – our Mailboat, Diamond Pass, Sunrise and Sunset cruises run year-round. And, even though the contest has ended, keep tagging us in your photos, we love seeing how you enjoy Casco Bay year-round!
