Every year, the Inter-Island Cruise serves as the unofficial kick-off to a busy private charter season here at Casco Bay Lines. The Bay Mist, freshly cleaned, painted and inspected by the USCG during dry dock, recently made her way back from the shipyard in Rockland to her home at our Portland terminal. And she’s ready to host a party!
Casco Bay Lines has quickly become a popular option for private events, hosting corporate outings for the area’s businesses, weddings of all shapes and sizes, springtime prom events, surprise birthday parties, school group trips, you name it! And, it’s no surprise that only a few dates are still available during 2019’s “peak” charter season – our customers are often trying to figure out how to wow their guests with a “waterfront” event and, as it turns out, it doesn’t get any more waterfront than having your event ON the water. Literally.
Our private charters run year-round (the Bay Mist is heated) and can accommodate up to 250 for a cruise around the bay or transportation to an island, with plenty of room for food and entertainment along the way. We’ve also got space for you to dance the night away to a band or DJ.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased online, at the terminal or when you climb aboard the cruise. Last year, we took a camera crew with us and captured the fun.
