CBL Live is our real-time map to help you plan your ferry trip, track vessels, and travel with ease.
Live vessel positions update every 15–30 seconds. Tap any vessel icon to see the vessel name, route name,
cruise name (when applicable), direction of travel, and next stop. To plan your trip to one of the islands
of Casco Bay, choose your destination from the dropdown for a list of scheduled departures from Portland.
To plan your return to the terminal, use the island stop popups to check scheduled times back to Portland.

What you can do with the Live Map
Plan your trip to one of the islands of Casco Bay
Start by selecting your island destination from the dropdown menu. You’ll see a list of departure times and route names from Portland. Next, click the island stop icon on the map to view return times.
This approach is designed for ferry travel—focusing on when you leave Portland and when you can return—so you can plan around your activities: a hike, bike ride, beach day, or visit with friends and family.
Track vessels
Follow boats in real time on the map and tap icons to check the vessel name, route name, cruise name, direction of travel, and next stop.
Travel with ease
The map is optimized to work on mobile phone browsers, so there’s no need to download an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. However, you can add the Live Map to your phone’s home screen for quick, one-tap access anytime you’re heading to the terminal or planning your day on the islands.
Save the map to your phone
iPhone (Safari)
- Open the Live Map in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Select Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Android (Chrome)
- Open the Live Map in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ Menu in the top-right.
- Select Add to Home Screen, then Add.
