Casco Bay Island Transit District (Casco Bay Lines) is pleased to announce that regular tickets are on sale for the 2025 Cruising Casco Bay Concert Series. The pre-season tickets discount ended June 30; tickets now cost $30 per person. The first two concerts on July 10 and 17 have already sold out, but limited tickets remain for the four remaining cruises.
“We’ve been seeing a huge rush of excitement again this year,” says Caity Gildart, Director of Sales and Marketing at Casco Bay Lines. “The first two concerts on July 10 and 17, with Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew and Hello Newman respectively, have already sold out. However, fortunately, both of these bands will be playing a second set later this summer. We encourage everyone to book your spot soon!”
Now in its sixth year, the series features some of Maine’s most entertaining bands playing to packed-out audiences aboard the Bay Mist as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean. The event was so popular in 2024 that all the concerts sold out.
Just four of the six cruises in 2025 have tickets still available for sale, including:
- Friday, July 25: Toby McAllister describes his band’s sound as: “If Johnny Cash wanted to start a punk rock band.” Nominated for a 2023 New England Music Award, they’re a tight act who will keep everyone on the dance floor.
- Friday, August 15: The Kenya Hall Band is a stunning option for those who want inspiring, soulful music to match the beautiful views of a mid-summer cruise. Described by Rolling Stone as “a soul powerhouse”, Kenya Hall is a mesmerizing performer.
- Thursday, August 21: Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew is an energetic and deeply funky nine-piece collective led by the dazzling vocalist Gina Alibrio. Their first July 10 concert has sold out.
- Friday, September 5: Hello Newman closes out the series with their second concert. The band brings a danceable mix of ‘90s and 2000s rock, ska, rap, and swing. The band has members from various acclaimed local bands whose music is currently getting local radio play, such as Derek Johnson of The Gubs and Jonah Bruce of Quaint AF.
The concerts take place from 7:00-9:00pm (attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6:30pm). There will be a cash bar—but concertgoers are welcome to bring food, such as picnics.
Tickets are on sale and can be purchased on the event webpage or at the ticket window at the Casco Bay Lines terminal. All guests must be over 21. Tickets are non-refundable: Because the venue is inside, every show will happen whether rain or shine.
We couldn’t do these concerts without the support of our incredible sponsors: 98.9 WCLZ is our partner once again this year. In 2025, we’re excited to welcome CLYNK to the party! Not only do they offer the most convenient, cleanest, and fastest way to redeem and recycle bottles and cans – but they share our commitment to sustainability through their work to keep valuable materials in use and out of the waste stream and out of Casco Bay.
