Casco Bay Island Transit District Appoints Laurie Bowie as Director of Finance and Human Resources

Casco Bay Island Transit District (Casco Bay Lines) is pleased to announce that Laurie Bowie has been hired as Director of Finance and Human Resources. With her extensive experience in financial management, staff development, strategic planning and human resources, Laurie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Prior to joining Casco Bay Lines, Laurie most recently served as the Director of Finance & Administration at the Maine Development Foundation, a membership organization that aims to drive sustainable, long-term economic growth for the State of Maine. Laurie has also served in various leadership positions at the Alzheimer’s Association, including Executive Director, Director of Operations, and Director of Finance, HR & IT. In these roles, she oversaw and advised the daily management of the non-profit organization, directed human resources, and evaluated community impact. Her experience in financial management, internal planning, and human resource development will be invaluable as Casco Bay Lines continues to evolve and strengthen its operations.

As Director, Laurie will oversee all financial and human resource functions for Casco Bay Lines, including budgeting, financial reporting, and employee development. She will also work closely with the executive team to identify opportunities for growth, manage employee policies and processes, and support the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.
