Casco Bay Lines has immediate openings for ticket and freight agents to join our crew – and are hiring full-time & part-time, with both year-round and seasonal options available.
This position requires an outgoing individual who will work productively under pressure and time constraints in a busy office and/or freight receiving environment.
Some of the job duties that could be required of this employee:
- Operate computerized ticket and freight system
- Perform the required cash accounting and proper record keeping for system
- Receive freight and prepare for shipment to island destinations
- Operate freight equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks
- Provide accurate information to the public regarding boat schedules, cruises, rates, policies and procedures
- Crew scheduling and replacement
- Answer phone inquiries and calls
- Cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements for employment:
- Willingness to comply with federally mandated drug testing
- Over the age of 16
- Ability to pick up work outside of scheduled shifts
- Knowledge of the Portland area and Casco Bay
