The Casco Bay Island Transit District, a quasi-municipal ferry boat operator in Casco Bay, is requesting technical support to gather, review and evaluate current demand and route information to properly assess the current ferry schedules and develop new schedules based on that evaluation. This project is being undertaken with funding from the Federal Transit Administration which is being matched with funding from Casco Bay Lines. The primary deliverables will be a summary of the current uses and demands as a whole and by seasons, a forecast of future uses and demands based on historical data and current trends, a new schedule, performance goals and measures of success, and a proforma profit/loss statement. Proposals must be received by May 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM. A copy of the RFP is below.
