Topic: Fleet Evaluation Project – New Vessel Capacity

Please join Casco Bay Lines at an informational public meeting to discuss capacity for the new vessel currently being designed for Peaks Island service. Representatives from Casco Bay Lines will be present on March 23 at 10:00 AM at Peaks Island Elementary School to provide an update on the current status of the Fleet Evaluation Project. A short presentation will be made at 10:00 AM followed by an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback.

The design process for the new vessel remains in the initial stages. Casco Bay Lines strongly encourages public participation at all stages. In addition to the March 23rd public meeting, and previous public meetings for the Fleet Evaluation Project, there will be future opportunities for public input prior to the Board’s consideration of a proposed vessel design. However, in light of recent questions regarding a singular aspect of the overall project, capacity, a public meeting is being held to address those questions and collect additional feedback from the public for consideration by the CBITD Board of Directors.
